Dining in Anaheim

Dig into authentic international cuisine, explore the delicious side of Disney, and discover a food hall worthy of a vacation on its own

Anaheim may be best known for Disneyland Resort, but the city’s charm—and diverse dining options—extend beyond its theme parks. Look a little deeper and you’ll discover rich international neighborhoods, a vibrant downtown, and a thriving libation culture. Here’s where to find some of the best restaurants around Anaheim.

It should be no surprise that some of Anaheim's most interesting eats lie within the realm of Disneyland. Experience the spirit of California wine country at Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Splurge on the tasting menu—along with the wine pairing, of course. Find Jungle Cruise vibes and tropical cuisine at Trader Sam’s in the Disneyland Hotel, or whimsical dishes at Pym Test Kitchen within Avengers Campus. If you’re strolling through the Downtown Disney District, nosh on wood-fired pizza at Naples Ristorante e Bar, piping hot beignets from Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, or over-the-top milkshakes at Black Tap Burgers.

Head west of the theme parks to Brookhurst Street to discover the Middle Eastern enclave of Little Arabia, home to dozens of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and hookah lounges. Sample the manakish (airy flatbread piled with toppings) at Forn Al Hara, authentic Turkish dishes at Koftegi, and exceptional baklava from Le Mirage Pastry. Drive a few miles to neighboring Westminster for a completely different set of flavors at Little Saigon. Sip on rich broth and flavorful noodles from Pho Nguyen Hue or Pho 79, and try one of the many variations of the banh mi sandwich on the menu at Banh Mi Che Cali Bakery.

Boasting more breweries than any other city in Orange County, Anaheim’s craft beer scene is not to be missed—but hops are only half the fun here. Pair award-winning ambers with carne asada street tacos at Phantom Ales or wash down plant-based fried calamari or short rib tacos with a guava and pineapple blonde ale at Golden Road Brewing. In the mood for something a bit more potent? Make a reservation at Strong Water, a stunning tiki lounge and restaurant tricked out to resemble a 19th-century sunken ship. Visit local-favorite Walker’s Liquor and Deli for fresh sandwiches in one of the last places you’d think to find them—a no-frills liquor store.

Once home to a Sunkist orange-packing facility, the Anaheim Packing District in Downtown Anaheim delivers something delicious for every palate. Make your way through the breezy 42,000-square-foot space to browse dozens of eateries. Standouts include fried chicken from Georgia’s Restaurant, poutine from The Kroft, Thai-inspired pork belly from White Elephant, and tandoori specialties from Adya. For an elevated experience, sample small plates crafted by Chef Michael Reed served in a bright greenhouse setting at Poppy & Seed. Round out the evening with craft cocktails at the speakeasy The Blind Rabbit. Hint: Look for a wall of sake barrels and give them a gentle push.
